Discover the Benefits of Juvéderm Dermal Fillers

At Beyond Aesthetix, we exclusively use the Juvéderm range of dermal fillers. Known for providing long-lasting results, Juvéderm fillers can last between one to two years, depending on the formula used and the treated area. These fillers produce instant results with no downtime, offering a solution to lift, plump, and volumise the skin effectively.

Areas Treated with Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance various areas of the face, including:

  • Cheeks: Adding volume and lift.
  • Smile Lines: Smoothing out lines around the mouth.
  • Lips: Plumping and enhancing lip shape.
  • Chin: Defining and improving contour.
  • Jawline: Achieving a more structured jawline.
  • Undereye Hollows: Reducing the appearance of hollow eyes.

What is Juvéderm?

Juvéderm fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a natural substance in the body that retains moisture in the skin. As we age, HA levels decrease, leading to wrinkles and volume loss. Juvéderm fillers also contain lidocaine to ensure a comfortable treatment experience. The high levels of HA in Juvéderm attract and retain water, temporarily restoring volume and texture for natural-looking results.

Treatment Experience

Preparation

Before your treatment, your practitioner will apply a numbing cream to ensure comfort. The treatment itself can take between 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Juvéderm fillers are smooth, crystal-clear gels that are injected beneath the skin.

Post-Treatment Care

After the treatment, common side effects include redness, swelling, pain, and tenderness. To minimise these effects, avoid exercise, sun exposure, heat, and alcohol consumption within the first 24 hours. It is also advisable to avoid wearing makeup on the treated areas for at least 12 hours post-treatment. Most patients can return to their normal routine on the same day.

Specialised Treatments

Lip Filler

Lip enhancement with Juvéderm involves injecting small amounts of filler to add volume and plumpness. This treatment is ideal for individuals with thinner lips or those with lines around the mouth, such as ‘smoker’s lines’. Results are immediate, with full effects visible after 2-3 weeks, and can last up to 6 months depending on lifestyle factors.

Important Considerations

Reasons to Avoid Dermal Fillers

  • History of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
  • Allergies to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in the products.
  • Previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers.

Risks

All procedures have potential risks, which will be discussed with you prior to treatment.
